Personal Comment: This book is a great multicultural fiction story for it shows how Mei over comes the difficult time of being different from the others. It shows children how to react to others comments and to ask for help. The parens play a big part when it comes to helping their children build their self-esteem. Self-esteem is very important as this will build and shape the child into their future self.
